A silent movie star is reborn

Pola Negri was the first European film star to make the move to Hollywood. The Polish Film Archive has found and restored a lovely film she made in 1918 that has long been thought lost for good. The film is called Mania: History of a Cigarette Factory Worker – I went to the re-premiere in Warsaw and filed this report for the Guardian film site.
